10 months old, squeaky clean and bear butts

Gus and Greta are 10 months old and incredibly squirmy. Between this picture and the outtakes below, there is a composite that includes both of their faces in focus, eight limbs and 2 smiles. I am waiting for the technology that can combine all these elements, but in the meantime, you will have to deal with blurry, non-smiling babies in crooked frames with various appendages missing. At least they are freshly bathed!

The trick to get them smile is to hit them in the face with a pillow (really). This is Eric's job, and I am charged with shooting the picture while also spotting them to make sure they don't dive onto the floor face first.

Oops - pillow!

This is the moment of transition when a smile turns into crying.

Greta is exceptionally cute during the 5 minutes she remains clean after a bath.

The highlight of every day for the twins is when we take down the gate at the bottom of the stairs and let them crawl upstairs to their room. They are like little bugs racing each other. The Yellowstone pajamas my mom bought them makes it even cuter.

10 Year Anniversary

Eric and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last weekend. We commemorated the occasion by going to Astoria and taking a bunch of selfies.

We stayed at the Cannery Pier Hotel, where every room has a balcony overlooking the river and the bridge to Washington.

We had dinner at the Bridgeport Bistro.

It was a beautiful night! (Our hotel is in the background.)

The best part was waking up to this beautiful scene.

And drinking coffee while it was still hot!
